The days have started to become longer again and the hope that spring is going to come soon is becoming stronger. At the same time, yesterday it snowed and today it’s really freezing. So here are some activities that might warm you a bit.

February 12 -21 ► Hüpfburgtage at AGRA – Bouncy Castles Winter Fun

During the winter holiday break Halle 4 at AGRA turns into a paradise for young children. They get plenty of indoor climbing & bouncing fun on 20 bouncy castles. Info & tickets

A really cool concept imported from Mexico. Three entrepreneurs share their failures. It’s sold out, but you can always try your luck at the door (5 euros).

February 19 ► Open Mic at Poniat

Leipzig Writers hosts their bi-monthly event in the lovely arched basement of Pontiatowski. Those of you with a hidden talent who want to perform, sing, rap, read aloud, slam.Open mic is open to all from 20:00. More info

February 19 ► Between confusion and perception

The vernissage of  the exhibition by Christina Baumann. The exhibition will remain until Sunday 21st at Helmut (Kohlgartenstrasse 51). more info

February 19-21 ► Kids Jazz L.E. 2016

The only Children’s Jazz Festival of Germany! With performances by young musicians between the ages of 4 and 16 at various locations all over town. more info

February 20 ► Nachtflohmarkt at Kohlrabizirkus

The second largest flea market of Leipzig – after AGRA Antiques Market – held monthly at Kohlrabizirkus, An den Tierkliniken 42, from 15:00-23:00. Entrance fee €2, free after 22:00 and free parking. More info (in German) 

February 21 ► Tapetenwechsel # 6 Eisenhood 

A concentrated dose of concerts and artistic performances, that is what you can expect from tapetenwechsel. One building, three apartments and three artists to choose from (or not, as the concerts are one after the other). Because the locations are secret, you should reach out to the organizers of the event or friends who know where the places are. more info

"Good food makes good people". In her column, Alexandra will present the culinary diversity that exists in Leipzig by discovering new and exciting places to eat. She will also present the family recipes from people who live in Leipzig, as a way to show the cultural diversity that exists in this city.
