7, 14, 21 August ►BROG ( 1 / 2 / 3 ) Openings at Westpol Airspace
One of my favourite galleries in town will exhibit 40 young artists from Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Colombia and Japan who spent a year in Halle and/or traveled to Japan, Spain, Turkey, France and Russia. The binding theme is a spiritual response to their experiences together and in their new and unfamiliar environments. more info (in German)
7 August ►globaLE Kino: “139 – Die letzten Raubtiere”
The Cameroonian film “Les Derniers prédateurs” is a fictional story of corruption, aiding an unending dictatorship. After showing the film in Cameroon, the director Richard Djif was arrested and tortured by Cameroonian security forces. He was released due to international pressure. He then fled to Germany, where he was initially denied asylum.
No admission fees, starts at 8.00 p.m. at Clara Zetkin park next to the music pavilion. French with English subtitles.
8 August ►Labiax at Dr Seltsam
Lean back and listen or get up and dance!
LABIAX is an music project/Crew of Karketi, DJ Buti and Alex Foley founded in 2014.
Based on electronic music, it represents various styles ranging from uplifting house and Hip-Hop to
experimental sounds like IDM and Ambient.
