Leipzig Events: Special movie, music, market, merry-making and more this week (UPDATED)

There are plenty of opportunities to thoroughly enjoy your week and weekend in Leipzig: from catching a foreign movie to speaking foreign languages on Tuesday, watching a Glasgow theater troupe perform Thursday (through Saturday), experiencing Bach and a jazz orchestra on Friday, listening to stories at an artistically inclined café on Saturday, and hanging out at an arts and crafts market, people’s private gardens or an eco fest on Sunday.

Wanderlust: Is it a matter of nature or nurture? In my travel column this week, I talk a little bit about our collective evolution as wanderers and settlers and my own path as a member of a “transnational tribe” of sorts – which has enriched my existence but brought me its share of heartache and perhaps an irremediable lack of roots.
