Volleyball flashmob, zoo cabaret, markets and mamboleo – fun (in the sun?) from Saturday to Saturday

Photo of Plagwity by A. Kliushnyk - lots of interesting events in Leipzig take place in the west, but many in the east as well.

With this schizophrenic weather, it’s difficult to predict whether it will shine or rain on our parade. I don’t read the weather forecast anymore, and instead go out with several “just in case” layers, sweater tucked into my bag. A sad picture for the summer, indeed. But at least you can take comfort in the fact that there are a lot of options for what to do in our neck of the (climate-change-screwed-up) woods. It all sounds like fun, but I guess you have to choose at some point (besides bringing an emergency umbrella and perhaps boots and a trench coat). Thanks once again, Marjon, for helping us get out of the house!

Marjon is Dutch and came to Leipzig in August 2013 with her family, because her husband got a job in the area. At the time she still had her own copywriting company, producing Dutch texts for websites, press releases, brochures, etc. She is an avid social media user and a passionate (digital) networker. Marjon has a degree in tourism management, which partially explains why she is always on the look-out for interesting Leipzig events and attractions.
