On March 1st, 2015, I wrote the first piece for this blog, which would soon start becoming more like an online magazine, though I couldn’t know it at the time. It was like putting a little sign out there and hoping that it would somehow be heard, and that I wouldn’t be the only one writing for the blog. Though we’ve still got a long way to go, I think we’ve already come a long way since then. I never could’ve imagined, when I wrote that first post, that there would be such interest in the blog; and that quite a few wonderful, talented people would jump onboard to contribute to writing, developing and promoting The Leipzig Glocal. So I would like to thank each and every one of you, in Leipzig and all over the world, for participating in any way you have – also in reading, liking and sharing a post, because each and every gesture matters in building our journey. As one of my favorite journalism mentors used to say, “Onward and upward!”
