European and local elections: what to know

/

The Leipzig Migrants’ Council, along with other important associations and institutions in Leipzig’s migration landscape, has launched an information campaign regarding the European and local elections. Its videos at targeted at EU citizens and newly naturalized citizens who will be voting for the first time in Leipzig and Germany.

To vote for Members of the European Parliament from Germany, EU citizens living in Leipzig must first register on the electoral roll of the city.

The deadline to register this year is Sunday, May 19th. The multilingual video campaign covers everything from the registration process to voting by mail, providing comprehensive information about this year’s European elections and encouraging EU citizens to participate. Additionally, due to significant parallels between the European elections and local elections, the campaign also addresses the local elections in Leipzig.
