Vegan restaurants are springing up like mushrooms. Organic and Fairtrade brands conquer store shelves. Superfoods are all the rage. “Good” foods – grown organically, sustainably produced and fairly traded – are as popular as ever, not only because they promise health, but also because they can make the unscrupulous consumer world a little bit better. I know people whose entire relationships are based on being vegan.
Modern conscious people follow a certain consumption pattern. The constant balance between saving the world and retreating into a comfortable life is explored by Leipziger Tanztheater (LTT) in the debut dance piece “scratching” from Johannes Setzer, Claire Wolff and Fabian Herbolzheimer with support from Alessio Trevisani.
