I’m all about that jazz: Chornfeld Choir

/

Young. Enthusiastic. Maybe not what you’d expect to associate with a choir. But that is what you get with the local Jazzchor Chornfeld.

“Voice Dance” is designed to move you; literally. Along with jazz standards and jazzy arrangements of pop and German folk songs, expect them to pump out “Viva la Vida”, “Butterfly”, “True Colors” and “All About that Bass.” Yes, you heard right! And of course, they will be performing “Voice Dance.

Overall, the choir covers three and a half different languages and occasionally sings eleven-voiced: a feat for the choir and a pleasure for the audience.

You get a few chances to see them in action this month…

18.06. Bachspiele Leipzig – 15:00, Leipzig Hauptbahnhof

21.06. Fête de la Musique Leipzig – 19:00, Feinkost, Leipzig

25.06. “Voice Dance” – 20:00, UT Connewitz, Leipzig
