Wow! Germany: a wonderland of Christmas goodies and delights. You may think you’ve got everything under control, but if it’s your first holiday here, beware.  There are 3 Christmas days. That means shops close early, most by noon, on Christmas Eve and don’t open again until Monday, the 28th. Be prepared for long long lines. You’ll think it’s the apocalypse. People think they have to buy enough food to last til 2016!

I have no idea what these pigs are doing, but if you want them, you’d better think fast! Of course you can always brave the lines for Sunday shopping at the Main Station from 12-6.
