Leipzig Events and Theatre: A funny kind of Macbeth

Random funny-face guy from Gratisography.com. Not from the play.

English Theatre Leipzig and director Tom Bailey are at it again: After the sweeping success of their version of The Mysterious Mr. Love, they are staging in Leipzig the comical Elsie & Norm’s Macbeth. It promises to deliver an outrageously hilarious performance of Shakespeare’s classic Macbeth, in a play within a play; the basic plot is that a bored couple have decided to act out Macbeth in their living room, playing every character themselves. There are two actors only in this production, as with Mr. Love. It worked out quite well there, I must say, so I’m guessing it will be good this time, too. I can’t wait to see it and hope to see you there!

Elsie & Norm’s Macbeth opens on December 11th at 8 p.m., and continues on December 12th and 19th. It will be performed IN ENGLISH at Neues Schauspiel Leipzig, Lützner Str. 29. This way for tickets and more info…
