English Theatre Leipzig’s Eurydice tells the story of Orpheus’s wife and her descent to the underworld. In the original myth the focus is entirely on Orpheus, but what happened to her down there?
English Theatre Leipzig is staging a new play, Eurydice, at Neues Schauspiel Leipzig. Starting with the premiere on Thursday, September 5th, there will be 5 shows, so everyone will have an opportunity to see it. We had a chance to chat with the playâ€™s director, Julia Kragh, to find out what to expect.

Though unimpressed with its Regietheater component, our classical music reviewer was largely impressed with the singing and recommends the opera as a good, accessible introduction to Wagner. Last performance of the season: 27 May at Oper Leipzig.
