Poniatowski open mic welcomes diverse languages and styles

in Arts/Philosophies by

“Our Open Mic is an event that takes place at regular intervals at Leipzig venues. It gives everyone the chance to hit the stage – just tag along to read your poetry and stories or perform your music live. And of course you can perform other people’s work as well.

“You will meet fellow word-smiths and musicians, and you will be able to bounce ideas off of others and get their feedback. Maybe you can even find new opportunities for expression and publication.

“It’s going to be multilingual and colorful.

“This time we have a very special guest Christijan Broerse, who would like to present some of his music.

See you there!”

First of all I’d like to encourage you and say this is such a pretty initiative. Secondly, is there any possiblity for people to perform stand up comedy as well?

Hey! I’m glad you like the initiative! I’m not organizing the open mic itself, just letting people know it’s happening. I’m sure they would be open to standup comedy as well! Do you live in Leipzig?

Yes I do live in Leipzig. And I thought maybe, in addition to music and poetry performances, people would like to laugh a bit. So here I am and I hope I’ll do good.
