Wave-Gotik-Treffen, also known as WGT, is an annual festival held in Leipzig that celebrates the dark alternative subculture. The festival, which has been held since 1992, attracts thousands of attendees from around the world. Music and free self-expression are at its core. Many attendees dress in elaborate costumes and makeup, and the festival is known for its unique and creative atmosphere; it also features a famous Victorian picnic and medieval market.
